I created this thread yesterday. For some reason after I posted it, it disappeared, so I'm going to try again. I didn't get a notice that it was being reviewed or anything.
I've been on 7 Seas for 4 months now, and I don't know whether Bali is a new port or just one that hasn't been visited since I've been here. Anyway, I and others had been talking about how excited we were to be going there since it was announced. Big disappointment.
I expected the port scene to be a beautiful wide beach with maybe a bamboo shack bar or something, and a view of the ocean. Everything I've ever seen about Bali has always been all about the ocean and the beach, since after all, it's a series of islands. Of course, Hawaii is also made up of islands, and there wasn't a beach scene there either, but at least there was some water. Anyway in Bali, we have a closed in garden sort of place not much bigger than the cabins on the ship. Not only does it feel claustrophobic and crowded, but it's almost impossible to get to the monkeys to get prizes, because people have no where else to stand. I do love the design of the monkey's area though, when it goes to the close up. We also seem to be getting a lot less starfish than we had been.
Also many of us were hoping for new outfits, but instead we only got recycles. Where are the sarongs, bathing suits and tropical attire? There are a couple of pretty creative hairstyles though, and the new accessories and charms are probably the best things there. A lot of nice selection, great design, and creativity shown. The Bali slot machine has some nice looking elements, but overall the design is a bit meh. Sorry.
